Seamen’s Society for Children and Families is opening a new 3-K/4-K education center on Staten Island’s North Shore in September 2022. The facility will provide full-day preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds in underserved communities. The center, located at 95 Central Ave., will include modular classrooms, a play area, and other amenities. The nonprofit is launching a campaign to raise $100,000 for the project. Seamen’s Society, founded in 1846, offers services including foster care, adoption, family support, domestic violence counseling, and youth enrichment programs.
