What Makes a Great Foster Parent?
We welcome individuals and families who are:
- Open to fostering children of all ages (birth–21), backgrounds, and identities
- Willing to help keep siblings together
- Passionate about mentoring and guiding teenagers
- Patient, compassionate, and understanding of trauma and emotional needs
No one is “perfect” — just caring, committed, and willing to learn.
Basic Requirements
To qualify as a foster parent, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have a stable source of income (employment, public assistance, or Social Security)
- Provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming home
