Black Female Tutor Helping Student at Home

Helping students achieve their potential.

We recognize the significance and lasting impact of a quality education, and in 2017 we took a proactive approach to address the demand for high-quality educational tutoring services. Our commitment lead to the relaunch of our Forward Through Educational Plus programming, emphasizing not only the education of the child but also the influence on the entire family.

What do we offer?

  • Forward Through Education Plus  offers complimentary educational support for children currently in the community and served by Seamen’s Society who are in grades Kindergarten through twelfth grade.
  • Our services encompass homework assistance and educational tutoring, aiming to assist students with reaching their educational milestones while fostering  a supportive  learning environment conducive to their overall  development.
  • Students are supported with both high school mentors and program staff working collaboratively to achieve their educational goals.

What are the hours of the program?

The program takes place Wednesdays from 3PM-5PM during the school year.

Who oversees the program?

The program is led by Nellie Suarez, Program Director, who has three decades of experience in education program management and leading Seamen’s Society’s Early Childhood Education Program.
