Jeanne Raleigh

Jeanne Raleigh has been actively involved with the Seamen’s Society for Children and Families for 20 years. Her commitment began with a social action group of students she inspired, who interviewed then agency CEO Nancy Vomero, to learn about the agency’s mission and collaborate on projects. A veteran NYCDOE educator, Jeanne led students and staff in Thanksgiving donations, scholarship fundraisers, prom dress collections, backpack campaigns and more, for several years. Most importantly, she instilled in students and staff the empathy to care for others, particularly children and their families.

Jeanne is the Immediate Past Chairperson of the Seamen’s Society Board of Trustees, having served in the role of Chairperson from 2021-2025. Her dedication to the Seamen’s mission and vision is evident in her compassion for everything Seamen’s. Hope Gala, Family Fun Walk, Coat Drive, Blanket Project and so much more – Jeanne is in the forefront, working with fellow trustees, agency staff and community leaders to support Seamen’s children and families. Jeanne’s passion is driven by her belief that every child deserves a wonderful life.
