Seamen’s Society for Children and Families will host its annual Hope Gala on November 17, 2023, at LiGreci’s Staaten. The event will honor community champions Doreen Cugno and Luanne Sorrentino, co-founders of the St. George Theatre, and Northfield Bank with the Safe Harbor Award. Foster parent Theresa Beard, who has cared for foster children for over 30 years and adopted 15, will receive the Joan Arnold Award. Proceeds from the event will support Seamen’s Society’s programs, including foster care, adoption, family support, and services for domestic violence survivors. Tickets are $180 and available through Seamen’s Society.
