Miriam Prat-Mallilo

Miriam Prat-Mallilo, MBA, LMHC-D is a seasoned pediatric behavioral health leader with over 15 years of experience serving New York City’s most vulnerable youth. She began her career in 2009 supporting survivors of human trafficking and teen exploitation in the Bronx, setting the path for ongoing work with underserved children and adolescents.

Since 2016, Miriam has been a cornerstone of Staten Island Mental Health—a division of Richmond University Medical Center—where she progressed from therapist to managing and developing multiple programs. Today, she oversees pediatric outpatient and school-based clinics, the children’s Day Treatment Program, Health Homes Serving Children, and the Court Involved Youth Initiative.  Additionally, she has secured state and private funding to open the first Partial Hospitalization Program in Staten Island, and a new Youth Assertive Community Treatment team. She also serves as Clinical Director for a SAMHSA funded grant supporting evidence-based trauma treatment and has been the Chair of the Staten Island Committee for Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services since 2023.  

Miriam holds a B.S. in Psychology, an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling, and earned her MBA in Healthcare Management in 2021. She is a Queens resident and a mother of two. Deeply committed to creating safe, nurturing environments, Miriam believes every child deserves to grow up “safe and loved.”
