How we help families

What we do:

  • Support families in their community and keep their children safe at home.
  • Support families when children return from foster care.
  • Reduce the risk child abuse and neglect.
  • Engage and connect families to services in their community

What we provide:

  • Case Management focused on  economic mobility, family stability and child safety
  • Therapeutic treatment services that addresses substance use and mental health
  • Referrals and advocacy for public assistance, SNAP, social security, parenting classes, substance use, health/mental health, domestic violence, homemaking, education/vocational, child care, GABI, housing, Medicaid, Care Coordination, juvenile justice, child support, and court ordered supervision.

Accessing our support services

Preventive programs are free services for families with children under 18 who could benefit from support and who are:

  • Having difficulty managing and/or understanding their child’s or teens behavior.
  • Having difficulty addressing health, mental health or substance use disorder.
  • Experienced trauma, and/or victim of domestic violence.
  • Having difficult managing entitlements.
  • At risk of having a child placed in foster care.

Referrals can be made by any organization or directly by a parent. The Preventive Services Program is funded through contracts with NYC’s Administration for Children’s Services and through donor contributions. Se habla Español.
